He is an Associate Fellow of the AIAA and serves as the associate editor for the AIAA Journal of Aerospace Information Systems and chairperson of the AIAA Air Transportation Systems Technical Committee. With an educational background in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University and Control Theory from Tsinghua University, Professor Wei is a pioneer in his field.
